95 s10 4-banger 5-speed haha not pretty but just wont quit
Finally got around to locating a door. $500 for the truck. $100 for the door. $14 and change for pins/bushings and I am up and runnin'.
Door hangs up just a tad, but latches fine.
I think this will be a good runabout for pickups and not piddle away so much fuel driving the full size.

That's perfect for what your gonna use it for.
1997 Tahoe 5.7. I love this truck a lot. No too much space, but it can definitely hold some weight!

1997 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 ext cab 6.5 ft bed 319,000 miles but upgrading to 1983 f250 lond bed diesel 4x4 yes it is an upgrade
A 2003 Hyundai Elantra with 245,000 miles on it. It is on a diet when it comes to using gas. 25/30 Have had about 300lbs. in it at one time including a hot water heater and a 100lb. piece of cast iron pipe.
This isn't my truck, but it was on the scale before me. His hitch was about an inch off the ground

Here was our last load at Goshen, didn't put a strain on that truck. I think we had around 1200 on there.

My dad lets me use his 99 Dodge Dakota Sport, sucks on gas but it hauls a heavy load for the little frame, after I unload the ride back is always fun. Without that weight this truck hauls brick
I don't think there's a lot of money in bricks,,Quote:

I'm reminded of that episode on Scrappers where they take a van load of bricks, and then can't find a buyer for them.

1986 Chevy d30 m1008 (ex mil truck, 1 1/4 ton) 6.2 diesel th400 trans 4x4. Consistently gets 15mpgs (well 13 in the winter)
I have hauled 3900lbs with it before, man does it make it ride nice.
Towed 9000lbs with it too, didnt like the hills, but i know the truck better know and could do better with it.
Also it can run on WMO:D
Oh yea it was 1200 bucks from a fire department, no rust, drove it home
The pumps were turned down on the 6.2 's so when my pump started leaking, I pulled it and took it to a company that did pumps and injectors. They turned the fuel pressure up and the power went way up and the fuel mileage went up also. 4 door dually and it got 13 fully loaded and 17 empty with a 4:11 rear.Quote:

I keep coming back to this thread just to look at SCRAPDRIVE's dump truck. Its a piece of art I would start scrapping full time if owned something like that. I love the 1950's Fords so much. My best friend is restoring a 1953 f100 right now.
I am new to this thread and I love reading all your posts.
I started doing the same thing you guys are doing in 2008 using only a '91 Ford Ranger working out of my garage.
.
Now I have the following:
95 Peterbilt Tractor
15 Semi Trailers
2000 F650 24' Truck
'99 International 24' Truck
'93 International 24' Tandem Axel Rollback
93 GMC 16' Truck
2004 GMC 16' Cube Truck
And other assorted forklifts and equipment
I'm not bragging I just wanted to show how much a company can grow from very small beginnings.
Thank you Midwest and welcome,,,

1979 Chevy C20. Has a 350 with a 3 speed on the floor. Best Hauling truck, but not so good on gas.
If you want to lean that rascal out get you a big 2 barrel from a big block Pontiac and use an adapter and install it on your 350. It'll still have the power to pull, you just won't be opening up the big 4's. That where your gas mileage goes. That and my stepdad used to use a vacuum gauge to time the engine. Worked perfect.
1996 f350 4x4 7.3 diesel 8x12 stakebody with lift gate. Luv it. My wife doesn't...
thanks thats good to know. I dont think it matters how i drive it lol, she guzzles gas.

1983 7.5 Ford F-350 18ft Rampside with belt lift
1999 Chevy Express 3500
1993 Ford F150, great work horse .
1994 Acura integra , use for picking up the little stuff.
1996 Mercury Grand Marquis
It has a V-8 and a mobster sized trunk.
If it has 4 wheels and a cargo bed, it's a truck. Thus my bike-trailer set is a truck. The back end is wider than the front, so it's like riding a dually.

I've thought about modifying a wheelbarrow or 4 wheel wagon as a trailer. The luxury scrapping option would be a dump cart, but those are more expensive than I want to spend when I don't know if it would work as a trailer.
I have a Ford Focus. lol.
