Junkdude, Im not showing off, i was simply answering the question. I also do this on a slightly larger scale than some, and you have to have the right equipment. I also dont really mess around with non ferrous too much. I scrapped around 700 tons of steel last year, and only saved some of the non ferrous. By the end, I had made enough with the non ferrous to buy the Ford flatbed.

I cant count the number of torches, saws, grinders, cutters, and other small tools needed, but I have to in order to stay profitable. If someone calls me up and said I have an oven or a fridge or even a car, I dont waste my time. I cant make money on such a small scale.

You must have some pretty rich sources of scrap. What sort of places do you frequent?
