1997 GMC Safari extended with both back seats out. Huge amount of room with access from back and side. More space than some pick-ups with toppers. My junk stays dry and I can lock it all up.
1995 Dodge Ram 1500 3.9L V-6 5 speed 8 foot bed, nasty lil gas saver with the v6 and full size bed makes it an awesome lil scrapping machine
97 dodge ram LWB... 2 trailers and dolly.. or and a great wife that understands...lol
I love this thread, but it makes me jealous.
I want to buy a new car next year and (providing I start the new job I'm after) I have been thinking about getting a Range Rover. They are built near me and I always liked the idea of buying from a company that employs locally . . . BUT . . . I read this thread a few days ago and it goy me thinking more about Mitsubishi Warriors and other similar vehicles. Space in the back to scrap and do other manly stuff, but also I would have plenty of seats to still use it as a family car.
3/4 ton Chevy for local loading/hauling. 3/4 ton Dodge diesel for long distance/heavy loads and a 16' open trailer with gate. The trailer has been the best investment I have made. Bought it about 5 years ago for construction work. Using it more now than ever.
Picked up a '88 Chevy 2500 4x4 350 auto. Brother tells me it's a heavy half. I don't know enough about these to know. It says 2500 on the door, but he seems to think that because it's a 6 lug, it's only a heavy half.
Hopefully it will serve me well.
Paid $900. Has a decent rack, newer tires, and brand new tool box on it.

I've always thought 6-lugs showed it was a 4WD. I had a Heavy Half and it was badged 1500.
Heavy halfs are badged 1500's with the 2500 suspension
Yeah true 3/4 tonnes are 8 lug like the 3500. At least thats what I know about them.
It's fairly straight on both sides. Left front fender has a crease. Says he hit a deer. Has the typical paint peel here and there.
I might toss up a few more pics later.

Finally got a picture. Took this one when I put it for sale
Thumbs up. Very nice!
thrsxs, That's too high class for this forum. Just kidding, nice ride. I'd be riding all over in style and not towing any cars.
2008 Kia Sedona
83 Silverado up until a couple weeks ago when it gave up the ghost :-( Looking to get a 93 Ford E 350. I will have to change the way I do things with the switch to a van but the deal is to good to pass up.
I use my toy hauling 01 f350 diesel. Cost a little more in fuel I guess but It dont get weighed down as easy and I dont have any problems getting up to speed.
88 ford F-150 half ton with extra leaf springs heaviest load was a 1000 lbs tires are not that good plus the highways around here are not that great
Here's the other side. Typical GM paint peel.

I need to find a truck like that for my daughter. Dang $900 is a great deal for that truck. Could sell it easly for 2 grand here in denver. Of course the next time you seen it all you would hear is the thumping of a tuba.......
Really? It has 161k on the clock, but it runs good and doesn't seem loose anywhere.
Picked up a 92' GMC K2500. 3/4 ton, Ext. Cab, long bed, 4x4, 350ci 5-speed standard shift with around 120,000mi for $2,200 yesterday in Kalamazoo, MI. The Truck is sitting on Mickey Thompson 285/75/16 tires and Mickey Thompson Rims. There is new exhaust from manifolds all the way back. Plus a whole bunch of other new parts. There is a little body work that needs done, and a few misc. things need replaced before its in tip top shape.

1988 isuzu trooper
209k and still goin strong
A wheelbarrow, no joke, we use it more than the truck which is a 96 Dodge with the first generation Cummings with almost 700 k on the clock.
Best Regards
Gustavus
Nice truck! Only thing I'd be worried about is the price you'll pay when ya need new tires.
I ran them on my 4x4 they are not to bad at $230 to $240. They last a good amount of time, work good in rain, snow and bad $## in the mud.
I parked that chevy 4x4...I should put the sucker back on the road or sell it...not sure what I want to do but I am switched company trucks from gas to diesel.
2000 chevy silverado dual cab, with a single axle 6 foot long trailer with 4 foot tall mesh sides.
Also have a dual axle car trailer and winch.
I need a truck I see !! I am working with a sable and A trailer waaaa
I'm still using my Taurus and last week I brought home 18 computer towers in that car. Kinda reminded Snodly of a clown car, I just kept pulling them towers out of there. hahaha. Sold my Chevy truck and made $100. profit from it.Quote:

Mine loves the gas too. 13 miles a gallon. Haha. Luckily there's a scrap yard literally a quarter mile from my house
