DD, is he asking $5 per CRT monitor? Is there that much worth of scrap in a monitor to justify the price? Or am I reading your post wrong?

My last monitor that i took apart only came to about 6 bucks in scrap. Picked it up at a yard sale on a deal with some books for my wife.

I considered this one on the high side because it had not just a plastic case but an internal steel/alum shell.

The real question is for me anyways. Do i leave all the copper and items on the board and sell as is, or rip everything off then try and sell it.

I dont think its $5.00 for each one...Now..the Black dell crt screens 17inch or bigger WORKING can bring from $5.00 to $8.00 each. Don't know why it HAS to be the black dell ones but thats what they want. I save them up and some guy comes around time to time to buy them. If I have to many..I just send them along the scrap lines.

Not sure about the color but we have a non-profit here that collects old computers, fixes them and gives them out to low-income people. They collect the Dell CRTs that have speakers inside.
