    I did not read the entire entry so if this has been covered, I am sorry. Troubleshooting is difficult but doable. If it goes dead sitting then pull all but one the fuses, take a photo of the fuse box first. Add fuses until you have discovered the circuit that has the short.

    Look for any add-ons and/or repairs to wiring, this will most likely lead you to the problem. Add on alarm systems and changes to the radio or wiring for trailer lights are ones to suspect right away. If the battery drain becomes intermittent get under the vehicle and look for wires that have rubbed on the frame and short out only sometimes.

    Once you find the short do a good job of using quality products to correct the problem. Mike. (I repaired electrical systems on helos in the the USMC)
