At work I chew up boots at a fast rate.
The longest I had a pair last was 1 and half years - Wolverine uninsulated lowcut ( $125 ) .
The shortest life span of any boot I have had was 6 weeks - those $35 Wal-Mart boots ( Texas Steer ).
My boots have to survive walking on grating, high temperatures, sparks, and climbing around on solid metal .
They also have to withstand water, oil, and lots of lovely chemicals.
