It came to a point with me that the wins and losses weren't important anymore. It really doesn't matter if you are the world champion. There will always be somebody that's just a little bit younger, a little bit faster, a little bit better overall ... and that's all it takes.

Truth be told .... i think i gained more from from my losses than i ever did my wins. Lol .... there was one memorable match where i got my a$$ handed to me by a 14 year old girl from Russia. Good lord .... that little thing was a holy terror on the chess board. That was a learning experience !

Anyhow .... i've rambled on long enough. The main value i found in chess was that's like going to the gym for your brain. It keeps you in shape. It doesn't really matter if you can bench press 50 lbs or 400 lbs as long as you keep working to improve on what you've got to work with.
Pretty much why I said "I won a game I lost."

    Awww jeez .... i think i'm in a mess here T.

All this talk about chess got me curious as to whether or not i could still remember how to move the pieces. One thing led to another and i've spent most of the day playing against the chess bots over at

    https://www.chess.com/play/computer

I've kinda had a vague feeling that something was missing lately ... been bored, but couldn't quite put my finger on it. I think this was it.

Ohh well .... back at it.

On the chess time app, you play against real people. C'mon over and I'll play ya.

I appreciate the invite. I did try it yesterday but it wouldn't work for pc ... just android and mac. It's probably just as well. I need a little more practice before i'm ready to play real people again. I've been away from it for quite awhile.
