A RL friend turned me on to a chess app. The one I am using is called Chess Time. I have been playing for the first time in years. The app lets you choose how long you are allowed to take for a move. I am playing one person who likes one day moves. The other two games I am playing are two day moves and the RL friend has 4 day moves. It does not mean it has to be 1, 2 , or 4 days to move, it just means it will give you that amount of time to move before it times out and is considered a forfeit.
https://www.chesstimeapp.com/ is the website for it, but I have been playing on my phone. If you get the app and want to play, I am t00nces2 (go figure). You can chat in game and it is nice to be able to consider moves without having to be concerned about getting home or the friend leaving, or some other unexpected interruption.
