    You have to be a little empathic when playing chess. By that i mean ... you not only have to be able to understand your plan, but, you also have to be able to understand what your opponent's plan is. You have to get inside his head and know what he's going to be doing for the next five or six moves.Then you compare that with your plan and see how it's all going to work out.

    That was your opponent's mistake. He was only thinking about his attack. So wrapped up in his own game that he never saw it coming.



    I wasn't there to see the match, but it looks like he did a king side castle at the beginning of the game. This is something that most Grandmasters do at the beginning of the game to get their basic defense in place.
    Yes, he had to stall the queen attack or block it. The pawn move blocked and gave the king an escape I could not counter and he had me crushed in piece capture. A win is a win no matter how bad you play. I will take it. We are playing another game. I will see how I do. I may make it a policy to play any player a two of three and find another player. I will keep a game with people I know just to be connected to them.
