I love it! If only every yard, core buyer and scrap dealer would crack down on all the lowlifes, we could pretty much eliminate scrap theft. I know, it's a nice thought

I've only ever had to turn away a few guys who either refused to provide ID, or refused to tell me where their material came from. The "policies" page on my business website has a nice, big WARNING TO THIEVES paragraph in bold, red print. Word gets around among the crooks and thieves, and they learn pretty quickly where they are not welcome.

Sadly, there are still too many buyers that will deal with these creeps and buy anything "off the books". It's pure greed, as they know they can buy the material cheap in exchange for keeping quiet. Plus, the better-known bad guys have already been banned from the reputable buyers, so a bad buyer knows that he may be the only one willing to deal with them.

Two thumbs up to Andrea, I like her no-nonsense way of making things clear.
