    I did a comparison for a box 16x16x16 weighing 55 lbs on the three services I could think of -- USPS, UPS, and FedEx. It turned out that FedEx was cheapest for using my own box. It's easy to do, just time consuming. By knowing your stats and using the same numbers on all three services, you can easily figure out which way to go.
