I never leave home without enough guns and ammo to survive the zombie apocalypse, call me crazy but when I'm meeting a complete Stranger with several Benjies in my pocket I'd rather have the heat and not need it then to need it and not have it.

A couple of things to add to this civil discussion. First guns are as American as our pickup trucks and no one is ever going to take either from me. I choose to not carry a gun 99% of the time, the few times that I felt I needed one, I had no pause in doing so. When I do, it's more than personal protection, I choose one that interprets for me, leaving no doubt of the possibilities! I have had a baseball bat in my pickup for as long as I can remember. I simply like hitting "Home Runs". There is so many guns in this country, I really think it borders on stupid and more than stupid for any discussion about taking Americans guns away from us (not ever going to happen). One important part of our government and it's multiple levels. Our military is different than 90% of all of the rest, in that our armed forces are and have always been ran by a civilian (thank you George).
