AA - (short for ammo anonymous) Just had to add to the humor.

This is the web site the information was quoted from: List of countries by intentional homicide rate - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The UK is 176, France 194, and Germany 195. It is interesting, the list is almost in order by geographic location. Africa is together, Middle East, Eastern Europe, Western Europe, North America, etc.

As far as where your black market guns are coming from I'll go out on a limb and say "criminals." Not from one country, but the world market.

By the way, your beer is great. I have made many fishing trips and love the beer. Problem is the price you have to pay. At the web site 91 reasons, referenced above it was noted that Canada had a slightly lower alcohol consumption rate than the U.S. Shall we start a thread about the affect higher taxes has on consumption. Just kidding, but I think if we did the research on alcohol consumption by capita, it will be by geographic location just as the homicide chart was.

Sorry when I asked that I had already checked and knew where UK, France and Germany were. I was just trying to make the point that other industrialized nations with similar laws to Canada were far lower on the list, or higher in number.

And I'll drink any beer, just about. Haven't found one I didn't like, unless there's fruit added to it. FREE still has to be my fave brand.

Edit: Just found this, it says that 1/2 of black market guns in Canada come from...Mericans!

I hear that, the other day I had a beer from Beau's brewery, Vankleek Hill, yet another local microbrewery, it had coffee added to it!
If I want coffee, I'll have a coffee!

A couple things to add: I think a driving factors in violence is education and the civil obedience of a community or for that matter a entire country. In this country there is staggering individual difference in violent crime statistics, some regions much more likely than others. There is known difference within our own individual communities. That is exactly what the OP of this thread was implying to start with. Personally I have known that education is the answer to most of all problems.

As for Canadian and American relations, I don't think there is a better example anywhere in the world, of two countries being good neighbors! It is known as the most peaceful boarder in the history of mankind! Lets be honest, they make a better beer up north!

Europeans are more peaceful, for many reasons, I think they maybe a little tired of killing each other. Look at their history it is full of revolt, revolutions, civil wars, and all out war!

One only has to look to our neighbors to the south of us and their problems. From the very start of European colonization, their weapons were taken from them. Education was for the chosen few and exploitation was on! Mexico as a example is beautiful place, with very hard working people. Yet they have not advanced as civilization, not as a government and nor as people, very little when comparing their history to others around the world. Gun ownership is illegal for citizens and education is still very limited.

To my Canadian friends, thank you for being such a good neighbor and for making a good beer!

How about a little more info. As you can see there were a lot of opinions about your situation and your solution would be very helpful.

And to Sir, Super Dave through out the first volley of hugs. Cannot wait to see your response.

The only ingredient in beer should be beer. SirS, I don't know if anyone else has said that. But I just did.

Bacon is bacon. Beer is beer (unless you ruin it with fruit, coffee, or some other weird ingredient). I actually prefer strip bacon. I know, how un-Canadian of me.

Be careful. Before you know it that gun you pull could get you killed, or you killing someone over 2 tv's. Carry a method of self defense but don't go looking to kill someone. People don't call people looking to get them to their location so they can fight them. Basically you have a better chance of getting struck by lightning. Its not that big of a deal maybe bring a more subtle weapon to assert your safety such as a small knife clipped on your wasteband or maybe a less obvious like a 2x4 in your truck. If it looks bad don't go, its not worth someones life to pick up a tv.

Before I return fire..(Hate to disapoint my good buddy there Patriot )...

To you crazy canucks...I prefer good beer. So that leaves out most mass produced beers in the US. I do drink them, but I do have standards when it comes to buying. Plus..I prefer a good whiskey or Tequila. An yes..beer should be..BEER. If I want fruity drinks I'll go mix one, or make some kool-aid. lol.

    Rapid fire hugs incoming!

My apologies for inaccurate information. My source had a little different perspective that said the weapons were not owned by the shooter. I assumed they were stolen.

I don't have any stats but I would bet that Canadian Beer/Whiskey has killed more Canadians then Black Market American Guns has.

No doubt, but you know the reply will be, "American cars have killed way more Canadians than Canadian cars have!"

I'd go with the folks that said have these guys leave the tvs on the curb. Save you some work anyway. But then again is less than $10 of scrap worth such a sketchy situation??

Admiral Alum- Yo're a cool dude and I like you but there are some differences between the U.S. and Canada. We have about 320 million citizens, aliens, and illegal aliens here and Canada has how many, 30 million?? The media filters crap. Seldom hear about the vast majority of honest law abiding people are doing, only the miniscule percentage of losers (usually). I own (now with one of my sons) about 15 guns and have never had to pull one on someone. I have a CC permit but rarely carry. During the winter, I usually had a .22 pistol in my car when I'm trapping. Even with my CC permit, for some places I go (won't go into details here) that would cause all kinds of wringing of hands or the SWAT team showing up. But it stays in my car and no one knows about it except me. My U.S. and state rights don't cease just because I crossed some imaginary line. If there's ever a day when I roll into a C-store parking lot after goose hunting with my 12 gauge and armed thugs are making their get away after a robbery, then they might be in for a surprise...
