    Pull the hard drive, replace, reinstall OS...?



    Or as I like to call laptop tech support....Get a BFH, an own it.

    You should probably stick to option 1, or await one of our resident computer tech nerds(I mean that as a compliment! We all got a little nerd in us, some nerd is just more useful then others).

    My method is a pain in the ass to a degree, but then so is anything else when dealing with a patience testing item like a bloody laptop.

    *My way may or may not work, if it doesn't fall back to option 2.
