    This is true in alot of states, here in ny any pickup over 5990lbs has to be registered as commercial..or you can be like me and transfer your plates and rock passenger plates on your dually

    to answer the OP, it all depends on what you are doing. I use a rollback at work for hauling scrap and cars and it is much easier but if you dont scrap enough to warrant a rollback a truck and flatbed trailer will do just fine

    Florida is like 5000 lbs. I just got a 1 ton dually and the only difference I saw was that they charged me more and you renew Dec 31 instead of your birthday. You also had to choose a max weight including passengers. The min was 5999, but that would be pretty much the truck and driver with one passenger. I choose 7999. I would have to look and check what all I was charged, but I think in the end my yearly reg cost will be like $175.
