Be careful when buying a one ton. In some states and probably provinces, they require special registration and/or inspection. For example, in Maine a 3/4 ton MUST be registered as a commercial vehicle but can be inspected as a personal vehicle. Saves a lot money every year. This is true in alot of states, here in ny any pickup over 5990lbs has to be registered as commercial..or you can be like me and transfer your plates and rock passenger plates on your dually
to answer the OP, it all depends on what you are doing. I use a rollback at work for hauling scrap and cars and it is much easier but if you dont scrap enough to warrant a rollback a truck and flatbed trailer will do just fine
