From my experience lcd monitors/tvs are not worth $3-$5 each. The most ive ever gotten out of one in scrap was $3 worth and that was from a 42". There was a low grade board a mid grade board and a thin high grade board plus a little bit of copper wiring and about 20 pounds of shred. I would not pay more than $1 each for lcd/plasma tvs/monitors. I think the yard is taking a loss at $3-$5 each, but they might sell them to someone that repairs them or buys them for parts so its hard to tell.
