    Legos....$$$$$$

Probably almost a year ago now, there was a thread talking about legos selling for good $$$ per lb on ebay. So out of curiousity, I was checking ebay now to see what sets and figurings are going for, and it is unbelievable!

If you go to ebay.com, sign in, search "legos" and then hit "sold listings"

    It is blowing my mind!

I know what I am going to start getting into!!!

Not to sure about that, I did a few of them, and they were around $6 to $7 per lb, but still not bad.

I can offer a couple bucks a pound for them, if nothing else i can fill up a tub for the kids to play with and sell them in the future after the price of legos goes up due to inflation. I never guessed legos would make a good investment.

Like I said, a while back, someone on here made a mention of them, and then I got onto other things, and completely forgot all about them!

Now that I am back onto them again, I will definitely be on the lookout and pass the word along.

I have already found some on CL that I can buy and quickly make a $30+ profit on.

I just found one ad on cl where a guy is selling 5 different sets for more than reasonable prices. On each one, I will double, or triple my money! I think I definitely found a new niche for VIP!

I can make more off legos, then I do hauling around junk all the time! lol

Whats sad about graded sets of legos is they will never be used for the inteded purpose. Putting them together. So your going to pay 12 g's for a box in a plastic box that shows a picture of what thepieces inside make? Dont make any sence to me at all.

That seems to be what these collector types want, and it's an investment to them. They are speculating that the price will keep going up. I sell Hot Wheels vehicles, carded and non-carded and most people really want the ones still on the cards and are willing to pay, in many cases way more, for the luxury, of Not being able to Play with the darn things.

People use to also collect Sports cards for an "investment" and the market fell apart. These don't seem like much of an investment at all.

I could buy 12K in gold or a lego MILLENNIUM FALCON. Tuff decision.

Some people have too much money.

I did buy lego sets for my kids to play with/eat when they were little.

Hopefully the guys buying these things are doing so for their own enjoyment.

I'm the one who started the Lego thread. Since then I have had some luck finding them at garage sales and thrift stores. The problem is it is usually pieces scattered in with other toys, or the kid/person was a collector and has some idea of the value.

I did some research into the buyers of the said "pricey" legos. These are grown men age 30-50 who some have entire rooms dedicated to collecting and some have spent in excess of 100k. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY MEGA BLOCKS! These look like legos but cannot be sold for lego prices-almost like "chinese motherboards".

My legos were gone the day that my mom stepped on the tiny single-block lego barefooted.

I must have been punished severely because I can't even remember what happened between the time that my mom yelled every dirty word in the book to me noticing that there were no more legos in the toy box.
