I have decided it's not worth any time separating out stainless or aluminum unless it can be separated to be clean easily. I will just throw it in the scrap ("shred") pile otherwise, around here there apparently is no point. The "tweaker" yard actually pays more for aluminum breakage, but it's a gamble (for me and I assume other regulars) as to if they are going to charge me their "environmental fee" that load or not. Makes it fun I suppose if you like to scrap gamble. I am not putting down that yard and especially not the people there, but if anything I think they would do better only charing that fee Monday through Friday after 5pm, Saturdays after 2 and all day Sunday and instead call it a "connivence fee" - I know that's how I see it when I am charged that when every other yard is closed.
