buying from a scrap yard

I have tried to make a business agreement with one of my yards for the last couple of months. They buy computer towers as shred steel price $.02 to $.04 per pound. I offered to buy these from them at $2.50 for complete towers and $1.00 for any tower missing components provided that the MB and power supply was still there. They want $5.00 and $4.00, so probably not going to happen, as we are just to far apart. This is my first attempt at buying anything to scrap and will keep trying if it can be done beneficially for all parties.
