    I had about 350+ pounds of them and around 100# of plates. I was thinking the same way you were, but another scrapper was driving by and they were sitting in my front yard so he stopped and I ended up selling them for $40 haha and he even loaded them himself. This was before I had ever been to a yard so had I known that if its steel they don't care, it wouldn't have been an issue at the one I went to.
