    Storage areas

Thought id share what my area currently looks like- a mess... Plus who doesn't like pictures?

I like to store and take in larger loads but my storage area got away from me this time. For those that do this; do you have a method that works for you? I'm generally pretty organized but let this slide as I'm getting busier I'm looking for ways to maximize space(other than the obvious, not throwing stuff in my space like a goon would help I guess). I've got some good quality stuff this load; it's everything pictured plus some appliances and a couple water tanks and some grills in my trailer.

Moral of the story: if I took a little more time to organize I wouldn't feel rushed to bring in loads.

For a second there, I thought you'd taken that photo in my garage. Organization is key, last year I took a bunch of copper wire in and then when I got home and looking around I found another bucket that had been forgotten in the mess.

Before I had the warehouse, I had two trailers. One was the steel storage/transporter. I would put all of the dense material in as I collected it (pipes, beams, flat sheets), and sit the less dense stuff to the side. When I was ready, I would pile the rest on top, and off I went.

I bought 2 totes, 1 for smaller Al, one for Insulated. I use a garbage can I picked up on the side of the road in a field (the top is cracked and a wheel partially broken but it still works for what I need) for bigger Al. My big steel is in a pile out back in the corner of my yard, and the smaller goes inside a junk truck toolbox I have so it all stays contained, plus it saves space. I keep a smaller metal trash can in my garage where I do teardowns just to throw the steel pieces into, then handtruck it out back. 5 gallon buckets also come in very handy
