    Lot of work going on here just for degaussing cables. Use a sharp boxcutter then start pulling the tape loose, if you go the correct way it'll come off in a couple of pieces (sometimes 1 piece), but if you start out unpeeling the wrong way the wraps come apart and it'll take twice as long to finish. Usually do them in about 2 min. each.
