    1994 F150
Extended Cap and 8' box with cap

I pull a 6'X10' trailer behind to load the scrap in. The ramp makes it much easier to load appliances then lifting them into the bed. Much less wear and tear on the truck as well.

This picture was taken when I was cutting apart some old school buses at a farm.

The cap makes it nice to store my tools and keep them dry, don't want to be without one.

I love this thread, but it makes me jealous.

I want to buy a new car next year and (providing I start the new job I'm after) I have been thinking about getting a Range Rover. They are built near me and I always liked the idea of buying from a company that employs locally . . . BUT . . . I read this thread a few days ago and it goy me thinking more about Mitsubishi Warriors and other similar vehicles. Space in the back to scrap and do other manly stuff, but also I would have plenty of seats to still use it as a family car.

Picked up a '88 Chevy 2500 4x4 350 auto. Brother tells me it's a heavy half. I don't know enough about these to know. It says 2500 on the door, but he seems to think that because it's a 6 lug, it's only a heavy half.

Hopefully it will serve me well.

Paid $900. Has a decent rack, newer tires, and brand new tool box on it.

A wheelbarrow, no joke, we use it more than the truck which is a 96 Dodge with the first generation Cummings with almost 700 k on the clock.

    Best Regards

1998 gmc 2500 club cab, 454, short bed... problem is its too nice for a scrap truck.. any suggestions on how to use second truck for scrappin?..... would it be worth it to try and get incorporated and buy a cheap scrapper rig... I just dont know how to run the business aspect of it.... Any tips??? I cant pay insurance on all 4 vehicles... wondering if all mileage and wear and tear is deductable... may be one of you guys can recommend a book on how to run a business... pm if you want..... Find a utility trailer. No sense insuring 2 trucks if you don't have to.

I believe you can deduct actual expense OR mileage, but not both.

Finally got around to locating a door. $500 for the truck. $100 for the door. $14 and change for pins/bushings and I am up and runnin'.

Door hangs up just a tad, but latches fine.

I think this will be a good runabout for pickups and not piddle away so much fuel driving the full size.
