Yeah, I tried today to strip a degaussing cable with that method, but I couldn't get it to work. It just kept wanting to push the tape up the cable instead of scoring it. Once I get confirmation on a place to order replacement blades for a stripper I found on ebay, I'm ordering it.

Lol, I said the same thing recently. My wire stripper paid for itself in 3-5hours of use well more than what it was worth actually I still have around 10-20lbs left to strip. I ended up having so far stripped 50lbs of Degauss wire.

I might consider stripping power cables, but would it be worth stripping the outer layer on top of the three other wires inside?

I just bought this wire stripper from ebay Copper Wire Stripping Machine Cable Stripper Scrap Metal Recycle Tool New | eBay. All I do is strip wire out of power supply from computers and some cords from electronics.
The reason I bought this is because it will open up more options of what I can ship out since there isn't a place in town that will pay for any scrap. I'll let you know how this stripper works out.

I might get the missus to shoot a video of me stripping a degaussing cable with my new toy. When you see what "quick & simple" really looks like, I bet you buy one too!

We're literall talking seconds to strip one... with no cursing.
