Hi Julie. USB ends are gold plated as far as I know, as well as the plugs they plug into. The hard drive platters are primarily made of aluminum. I have read they may have a palladium (another precious metal) coating on them, but it is not enough to bother with. Not sure about the board, looks old though, maybe an old memory expansion board.
