    yea it was kind of a bummer the first time i found a large quantity of coaxial cable I stripped it and found that pretty copper color I love so much but was really bummed when I saw the magnet stick to it. The silver/gray mesh around it is aluminum, but all else being equal I find its a better use of my time to strip wire I know to be copper and just throw the coaxial in my iron pile.
