    I worked as an electricians helper years ago and was saving 12 and 14 awg wire from jobs and filled my car trunk with it....put it in the 55 gallon drum at the scrap yard and i got $4.....not sure if i got robbed or what....but i have a few hundred pounds of this dog fence wire. still in the casing.

    Do you mean you were paid $4 for a trunk full of wire or $4 per pound? If it was $4 total then yes you got robbed. If you got $4 per pound then please tell us where the yard is so I can make a road trip!!
