Ew. I dunno what it is but I personally can't stand pretty much any IPA. I can't figure out why but every one I've tried has made me go BLECH!

Gimme a nice stout or lager any day

And I'm still really fuzzy on this wire stuff. What does it mean #1 vs #2 vs #3. Is that all based on recovery %? Or is it size (gauge)?

    Matty,

Wire can be real fuzzy because different yards grade things differently. My main yard is percentage (as is the port). They don't get much if any of my wire. 30% is basically extension cords, power cords, computer cords and anything small. 50% is romex and THHN. 75% is large gauge single jacketed stuff, probably 2 gauge and larger. In North Adams, everything that I get 30 % or 50% in Pittsfield is # 2 insulated. Not sure if they would grade 4 gauge thru #14 gauge THHN as #1. 2 Gauge and up single jacketed should go as #1. I also have a speciality yard that has numerous other grades, such as alarm, Telco, tin coated (small, med, large) and another speciality yard that does these, plus harness wire and other strange ones like Jelly filled something (can't get there site working right now)

So, would you say, that in general it's best to strip the 30% stuff? That's mostly what I have as far as wire goes and with winter coming (Brace Yourselves!) I'll have time to strip wire to heart's (dis)content. What about computer wire? I've just been setting it all aside for now until I can figure out what to do with it

I wouldn't strip the 30%. Like I mentioned, most of the 30% would go as #2 insulated in North Adams. They were paying $1 during the summer, probably went down a little.

    Peas,

you have to check with your yard, they are all at least a little different. Send me a photo and I'll tell you what I can sell it for.

$0.90 in North Adams today. Dropped over 200 pounds of #2 insulated.
