This happens to me all the time. Every time i have called about a price, it's almost double what i was quoted. Now I'm totally off topic and rambling, I enjoy the bump in price upon payout, but why quote me at one price over the phone and pay me twice as much when i get there?
Possibly when you call in you just get quoted their "regular" rate, whereas when you show up you are recognized as a regular customer, and get a better deal. That's my guess anyways.
