Yikes, sorry about the delay getting back to ya. Didn't notice this message. DURRR. I'm in Northern Michigan, Grand Traverse County. Note that I called last week about low grade prices and was quoted .05/lb. So, now I don't know what's going on. A price drop or just a couple people with conflicting information. Ahh well.

This happens to me all the time. Every time i have called about a price, it's almost double what i was quoted. I called about cd/dvd drives the other day and was quoted $0.10 and when i took them in I got $0.23. That was with the boards removed. I've been wondering about that "dealer pricing" Mech mentioned. I don't ever take in a large enough load to consider asking for more money. Maybe since i see the same guys every week they give me a bump, or i also thought that maybe the computer program prices based off of frequency. Almost like donating plasma, the more you do it the more you get paid. Now I'm totally off topic and rambling, I enjoy the bump in price upon payout, but why quote me at one price over the phone and pay me twice as much when i get there?

Possibly when you call in you just get quoted their "regular" rate, whereas when you show up you are recognized as a regular customer, and get a better deal. That's my guess anyways.
