I've been wondering about that "dealer pricing" Mech mentioned. I don't ever take in a large enough load to consider asking for more money
Every time I went into my local yard the owners son asked me about escrap. I had tried to buy them (computers) from the yard at one time, but the son figured out that there is more money to be made by tearing them down. I kept telling him that I could not afford to sell to them at .05 lb. He asked about what kind of volume I had sitting around of some different items like the low grade and power supplies. I answered about 200 lb each and he says, "well let me go get the dealer price sheet". Most other stuff is still too cheap but those two items are close enough that I'll take their .20 lb for hauling just a few miles.

The dealer sheet must be how their getting computer shops and industrial accounts to sell to them.
