Hey hobo, what does a case of soda (don't know if that's the lingo in your parts ....or beer) cost in AZ? I'm just wondering if you and your western neighbors are paying more up front on the purchase of UBC's, because I'm also from IN, and . 95 per lb is stupid ridiculous (among other adjectives). For that price, I'd stop every time I seen a can. Lol

Up here in Ontario, a case of 24 is over $30.00. That's why we're such beer pigs when we come down to visit you guys.

not just beer is cheaper, I like Crystal Head Vodka that is made in Newfoundland and costs $120 for a 60oz bottle here in Ontario, but yet in the US you can get it for $90 shipped to your door, dunno what you can get it for in the US at the store

Yeah, the government says they're saving us from ourselves. I think the high booze taxes just increase petty crime. Alcoholic street people will just steal more to get what they need. Sorry for the hijack, OP.

So its funny at these "new" yards here that pay good for Alum Cans, #1 Plastic. #2 Plastic and Glass (that have CRV stamps on them) they look over everything twice! LOL. I had a few 32 oz cans that I had put aluminum foil in and they saw it, were going to refuse my whole load of cans. I tried not to get mad and told them it is not like I put steel or rocks in it, it was aluminum! They refused a few cans but took the rest and said never to do it again.

I am thinking you guys are scamming the CRV and have the balls to get angry and think I am screwing them with some aluminum foil!!! These places are bad, no print out, try and screw you with tare weight, etc.

The last place, I had there coupon which stated that they would "match" what others payed showed them the other coupon and had to make sure I got the $.95 vs $.85 as this place had a weight limit for the better money. The other place has no weight limit! I got the price.

1.58 of that price per pound is the CRV redemption. So after that, at 1.65, you're getting 0.07/lb for the aluminum!

Sims is paying 2.07 right now.

New deal at one yard here if your cans are smashed from the top down you get $.03 more a pound for them. So $.88 for 99 lbs and less and $.98 for 100 + lbs

We get in NZ what's probably US$0.70 cents a Lb.

I have read the pdf of the alco ali cans 'rules and stipulations'.
Its pretty tough, Ok ali foil maybe the same ali, but there's rules specifucally about it.
If and when they find it, the whole load may be condemmed, or not paid for, and the seller may be blacklisted from there on.

So make sure there's nothing else but cans in your load.

If you want to get money from tge ali foil, just squash it up and force it into a ali container like a ali airosol container or a ali car coil container, then bash it in with a hammer, fold the end over so it won't fall out ,then chuck it in with the domestic ali.

But make sure there's no contaminates in your ali cans before you sell them.
