    That 'cat 5' wire burns really well in a fire.

    Since the strands are single & thickish, it transfers heat really well & since its a single strand, theres no gaps for the molten plastic to get into.

    I find that if you weigh your plastic coated wire, the burnt off weight is 2/3rds of the plastic coated wire weight.

    Oh, yeah, 3 phase cable, with 7 strands of copper wire in it, weighs 140 grams per metre.



    I found out how to combat 'Scrappers claw'? (what happens to your hands after stripping wire...) by accident.
    I got stung by a bee on my left hands middle finger, not badly stung - just a nip.

    After that my hand got warm & itchy, swelled up a bit & the next day I could get movement in my fingers.
    The day after there was more movement & by the third day I could move my hands like normal.
    The scars & cuts started healing up real quick too.
    At the end of a week, my hands were better than they were beforehand.
