With copper you have to weight out two things. A how much weight you have. B. How long it takes to strip and how much money you make over the price of just selling it. If you strip 6 lbs in a hour for an extra 1.50 a lb. Then you just made 9 bucks an hour then you have to ask is it easier to work at mcdonalds then do this job. Sometimes using your time to do other types of scrap work is a better option. Tripping over dollars to get to dimes. I bet I use the phrase once a day. I always like to know in my head ahead of time how long something takes to do.
I worry that all I do is trip over the dollars for the dimes! I don't have any other scrap work to do right now so it's not like I'm choosing this over something else so at first it seemed like it was worth it but now i'm starting to wonder... If I had employees i wouldn't pay them to do this though - their hourly would most likely be over what i would be gaining.
