@Pnut Glad to hear you made it through with minimum damage. An you are correct, lots of folks got the ever loving snot knocked out of them an lost everything. Hopefully are Fl. members/friends made it through safe an whole. Sure they'll check in when their able.
Good tips! I also recommend a washer or dryer for storage. Cat 4 or 5...might not help much but the Cat 3 an lower i would think your valuables would be safe. Make you unhook the water line tho if using the washer, an unplug both.

I tend to put things in mine when a good storm is coming through. Wife takes the super important stuff with her to the hotel an tosses into a safe. Smart gal she is. If I were to evacuate my sandbar I'm only taking what I have to...Wife, Pets, certain valuables. Everything else can be replaced.
An sorry for the delay. They've been doing work on the cable/internet lines down here, so have been without for a couple days while they did my little part.
