ya I got started when I was a kid for curb shopping because i would pick up all the toys and stuff that were toys to me that people threw away and as i got older i realized things were worth even more money. today I still have in decent played with condition a complete set of my power rangers megazord, dragonzord, and titanus. if the collector megazord I had was lost in moves but these even now are worth more as is than what they cost back in the day and they were free. just like other things my whole place is filled with nice shelves, furniture and things that saved me thousands over the years and if I do not like it anymore all I have to do is go out and find things I do like for a bit of gas and a little work.
