Mine at least is not consistent with weights. I can weigh, pull off the item, and weigh again and it changes. Although, it is not a big difference for shipping, it isn't completely accurate.

The one i have is a 150lb/max...same manufacturer.
I pulled a deli scale out of a pile of electronics I bought awhile back and use that for weights up to 30lbs. Accurate up to 0.01/lb, but it's old and ugly!

In most states you need to have weights and measure certifie a scale that you use for buying by the lbs,then afer the state certifies the scale they will put a sticker on the scale certifing that the weight is correct..
