Playing solitaire and getting "stuck" knowing that the few remaining cards that I need to win are in a stack that's covered by the 3 of spades. That really grinds my gears.

It really grinds my gears when a company's R2 certification makes it so difficult for them to resell good equipment, that it just ends up being scrapped out... creating more waste and effectively defeating the entire purpose of having such strict certification standards.

This really, really, grinds my gears.

When someone deliberately makes a mess of the public restroom... and I really have to go...REALLY BAD.. but I can't use it because the last person's business got everywhere other than inside of the bowl.

    That really grinds my gears.

It grinds my gears when there is a puddle of dried, sticky pee on the ground all around the urinal. It seems that some people have terrible aim.

I have a pair of work pants that has the front permanently sewed shut because the zipper broke and I lost the button. So I have to find a enclosed stall because I have to pull my pants completely down.

Another thing that grinds my gears- Smart phones that have the "Do not disturb" app or some other selective ring mode. What happens is that the owner of the phone forgets that it's in DND mode or they inadvertently activate it. Then when they call or text me they aren't even aware that I am either trying to call them back or text them back so they text and call me several times thinking that I am ignoring them when I am really playing phone tag.
