Take all your brass,copper etc and sell it. With the proceeds buy gold and silver in various sizes. Ounces,half ounces, 1/4 ounce rounds and ingots. This is the only currency that will be worth anything when the SHTF. You can even have gold from electronics refined and poured in the form of shot so you can measure what you need when you need to purchase something.
