Printers - more than scrap

I usually take out the inks to recycle at Staple for $2 per cartridge and scrap the rest of printers. Well, I was actually at Staples to buy a new printer. As I was talking to the manager, he told me to recycle my old one for $50 off of a new one. I would have never seen that offer as it was in the fine print near one of the displays. It's a good thing I sorta know this manager as I frequent that store often. So $50 is much better than scrap.
