    i was in the market for a printer anyways and found that i shouldn't smash just one printer. would be great if they gave $50 each, but its only one for one.



    I would like the cost of the cheap ones, but my family needed wireless and i needed the fax part of it.

    If Staples gives $50 off a printer, I wonder what they do with them. Maybe there is some intrinsic value in them we don't know about.

    They probably have a rebate with printer makers to offset that $50, plus they will get to sell you a $.15 USB cable for $19.95 and make a killing on ink sales down the road as well. Most printers sold today are junk so its not like much money went inot making them.

    I have found that some HP printers have a weird gold pin/spring assembley on the inkjet cartridges contacts. So far I have found 3 sets & have saved the last & any more I do find.
