AA - (short for ammo anonymous) Just had to add to the humor.

This is the web site the information was quoted from: List of countries by intentional homicide rate - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The UK is 176, France 194, and Germany 195. It is interesting, the list is almost in order by geographic location. Africa is together, Middle East, Eastern Europe, Western Europe, North America, etc.

As far as where your black market guns are coming from I'll go out on a limb and say "criminals." Not from one country, but the world market.

By the way, your beer is great. I have made many fishing trips and love the beer. Problem is the price you have to pay. At the web site 91 reasons, referenced above it was noted that Canada had a slightly lower alcohol consumption rate than the U.S. Shall we start a thread about the affect higher taxes has on consumption. Just kidding, but I think if we did the research on alcohol consumption by capita, it will be by geographic location just as the homicide chart was.

Sorry when I asked that I had already checked and knew where UK, France and Germany were. I was just trying to make the point that other industrialized nations with similar laws to Canada were far lower on the list, or higher in number.

And I'll drink any beer, just about. Haven't found one I didn't like, unless there's fruit added to it. FREE still has to be my fave brand.

Edit: Just found this, it says that 1/2 of black market guns in Canada come from...Mericans!

I hear that, the other day I had a beer from Beau's brewery, Vankleek Hill, yet another local microbrewery, it had coffee added to it!
If I want coffee, I'll have a coffee!

A couple things to add: I think a driving factors in violence is education and the civil obedience of a community or for that matter a entire country. In this country there is staggering individual difference in violent crime statistics, some regions much more likely than others. There is known difference within our own individual communities. That is exactly what the OP of this thread was implying to start with. Personally I have known that education is the answer to most of all problems.

As for Canadian and American relations, I don't think there is a better example anywhere in the world, of two countries being good neighbors! It is known as the most peaceful boarder in the history of mankind! Lets be honest, they make a better beer up north!

Europeans are more peaceful, for many reasons, I think they maybe a little tired of killing each other. Look at their history it is full of revolt, revolutions, civil wars, and all out war!

One only has to look to our neighbors to the south of us and their problems. From the very start of European colonization, their weapons were taken from them. Education was for the chosen few and exploitation was on! Mexico as a example is beautiful place, with very hard working people. Yet they have not advanced as civilization, not as a government and nor as people, very little when comparing their history to others around the world. Gun ownership is illegal for citizens and education is still very limited.

To my Canadian friends, thank you for being such a good neighbor and for making a good beer!
