some one brought tools at Harbor freight today and this brought this story to mind not sure of how much of it is truth but some is I know.



Home depot was the brain child of a Wife Handy woman, Her husband got involved once it became a reality and almost killed it with too rapid of an expansion, eventually the two got a Divorce, In the Divorce the Husband some how got the lions share of Home depot. The Wife did not take this lightly and decoded to start another chain and called it Lowe's .

Her strategy was to make the store more friendly with softer colors, Better product. and her goal was to build one close to every HD on the planet.

In my estimation she has accomplished the task well. The prices are generally a little higher but the quality is also. there are still some good finds in HD but over all Lowe's has them beat. that of course is just my take.
