How much is that 1 - 2 mpg as a percentage? I always looked on synthetic oil as a means to extend engine life. With the road salt up here, the body usually rots out long before the engine dies so a long lived engine isn't that much of an advantage. However, I drive 35,000 - 40,000 km per year - maybe I should go for the synthetic oil for the fuel savings.

You want more output; with less input? Don't we all...
Perhaps you could go into the future where there are time machines; so you could travel back into time carrying with you the knowledge of how to build a time machine and travel back to modern time. You could preload your scrap after you have already unloaded it, thus eliminating ever having to really ever load it, decreasing your input and maximizing your output. I'm sure that's the only logical answer to your problem.
This is just like that time in Terminator2.
advertise ... schedule pickups ... throw some 2 4x8 boards in your bed and get one 4x8 board and cut it in half to cover your window // tailgate ... advertise ... schedule ... don't leave the house until you have a full load waiting or you get something better on fuel ...

Sleeper couches? I'm just guessing that's what you meant. I've never come across a 600 pound metal frame in a sleeper couch. Lord knows how many I've carried over the last 18 years of moving furniture 6 days a week.
I'm was talking about those sliding closet doors on my load yesterday don't no seat weigh 560 pounds! those metal apartment closet doors do... please read before you assuming that the couch is 600 pounds./

Scrapmetalking, I have some questions for you.1) What do you do with the crt tube from your scrapped tv's? 2) What kind of skills do you have to have in order to brake down a tv? 3) why would you not brake down a microwave? If you lived close to me I would trade all my tv's for all your microwaves. One more question, what do you do with curcuit boards from the tv's?
