    I'll grab any wire and hit it with my strippers. If it doesn't want to cooperate, I either set it in the insulated wire bin or I set it aside to hit again when I get bored. I went through a time where I would create blisters on my hands trying to strip really uncooperative wire - those days are long gone. I would much rather strip solid wire than THHN but I don't find near as much solid wire, unfortunately.
