    I've been burned by a yard in Teterboro NJ. I came in with 4 aluminum rims (no valve stems, no lead weight, pure AL) and some dirty aluminum as well. They paid out for all of it dirty. I asked for the manager and asked for my rims back. They refused. I've never been back.
    What I do now is make two trips to yards. Trip 1 is nothing but clean Al and CU. No guess work, no games. Trip 2 is all my dirty stuff. I'd rather waste gas than get burned again (even though my current place is **** good about things like this).
