Young Jimmy is severely undereducated. Take what he says and discard it. Motherboards and RAM are fetching 4 plus dollars a pound. What you need to know is whom to sell to and what to sell them.

Contact Boardsort, Chris is an awesome guy to work with and seriously knows his wares. Case in point, I had a pair of butcher shop scales I got from a clean out last week that were seriously off, he knew the exact weight of my stuff and asked me to reweigh it. He kept me from making mistakes with clients and using those dang junk scales. The man is good. I couldn't ask for better buyers.

Sell boardsort your RAM, Motherboards, and CPU chips. Most everything else computer wise isn't so easy to scrap out without some tools and a good yard near by. You'll find that hard drives have a lot of stainless on them. Save this and take it to the yard. If you can get the logic board off the hard drives, sell them to boardsort. Everything else, right down to the wire and the cd-rom drives you can take apart and scrap out, just take them to the yard though. If you have enough wire from power supplies and crap laying around, contact High Voltage Processing on here. He'll pick stuff up if it's large around quantity. Seriously, the price of boards and processor chips are up a good amount. Not the best I've ever seen, but they're up enough to keep you from complaining.

In regards to shipping stuff out, shipping runs 70-80 cents a pound, so keep it down to circuit boards, processors, and RAM. Your wallet will thank you.

If you need any help, send me a message.
