    My first scrap pile.

Good evening everyone. Where im renting in the country the owner just sold a 40 acre parcel to someone else. Well I know on the 40 acres is an old dump from the previous owners. Long story short, I talked with the new owner and asked if I can help him clean it up and keep the non ferrous metals or anything I could use and he agreed. So Im happy that I get to make a little extra cash on the side while helping a neighbor in need (the new owner lives just down the road) and clean up a very nasty eyesore while scrapping. I'll try to post pics of anything i think is good or may have questions on that I find.

While helping clear the scrap pile i found this 1/2 drill in the dirt. This is the data plate on the side of this monster.

The cord was long gone and the trigger switch was busted. Upon opening it up the bearings were long rusted solid so I salvaged the armiture and copper windings out of it. The case was cast aluminum so that will go in my aluminum pile. This beast was very heavy and I couldn't imagine using this anywhere but mounted to a press.

I would bet that if you could remove that name plate without damaging it, you could sell it on ebay for >$20. I will have to make sure I check garage sales for tools with vintage plates.
