    I can understand cutting a vacuum cleaners cord off. There's just too much junk on a vacuum cleaner. The motors not big enough to scrap, too much germy dust and far too much plastic.

    But then, I'd probably put that extra long cord on something else too.



    As to stripping the plastic of a power cord so it could be sold for 'bare bright', nah, that's just not worth your time.
    Even Panasonic CRT TV's have more Copper in their degausser cables.
